    Day 1

    Embrace excess on this leisurely jaunt through the highlights of Italy, beginning in Rome. Spend the day soaking up the vibrant atmosphere before meeting your Travel Director and fellow travelers for a Welcome Reception. We enjoy a leisurely orientation through the city this evening, venturing into Ancient Rome as our journey through Italy begins.

    Day 2

    Explore Vatican City this morning with a Local Specialist who will reveal all the highlights of St. Peter's Basilica. Perhaps join an Optional Experience to visit the awe-inspiring Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. We continue to Ancient Rome and admire the Circus Maximus, where exhilarating chariot races were once held. Enjoy some free time this afternoon to explore on your own. From Roman ruins to Renaissance palazzi - Rome has it all.

    Day 3

    Discover why the Italians say 'it is sweet doing nothing', spending your day watching Rome's beautiful people embrace life lived to its fullest in the exquisite city. Delve into its treasures spanning millennia – the museums, churches, gardens and architecture that remain as enduring symbols of a powerful city. Or perhaps consider an Optional Experience to Tivoli, site of the magnificent Villa d'Este Gardens.

    Day 4

    Today we pay homage to the thousands of brave souls whose final resting place is the Commonwealth War Cemetery in Cassino. View the 6th-century Abbey that was destroyed during World War II, before venturing south to Pompeii, a city frozen in time. Join a Local Specialist through the excavations that yield the tragic story of a once vibrant city engulfed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Wander down the stone avenues past such sights as the Forum and Temple of Apollo. We arrive later at our hotel on the iconic Mediterranean Amalfi Coast where we'll dine tonight.

    Day 5

    Indulge in a full free day at leisure. Consider joining an Optional Experience along the Amalfi Coast to the beautiful seaside village of Positano, a true painter's paradise. You could also choose to soak up the extraordinary beauty of the village of Ravello which has long inspired musicians, writers and artists. Smell the fresh scents of lemons as you relax in this picture-perfect setting. After a day of sightseeing, perhaps you could spend a relaxing evening sipping limoncello and watching the Mediterranean sky light up in glorious pinks, yellows and blues.

    Day 6

    This morning we journey along the coast to the medieval town of Amalfi. See the 10th-century Romanesque Cathedral of Sant'Andrea and the Campanile, before setting sail to the glamorous island of Capri. On arrival, ascend to Capri town by funicular for a guided walking tour with a Local Specialist who will share views of the piazzetta - the heart and soul of this beautiful town. Later, we return to the mainland.

    Day 7

    From the Amalfi Coast, we travel north through the rolling green and golden landscape of Umbria into scenic Tuscany before arriving in the Renaissance city of Florence. You’ll have a free evening to amble along the Arno River, admire the famous city skyline at night from Piazzale Michelangelo, or indulge in the finest antipasti in town.

    Day 8

    Delve into the history of a city renowned for its art, architecture and cultural treasures. Join your Local Specialist for a walking tour, including views of the exquisite marble Duomo, Baptistery and Ponte Vecchio. Wander through the Piazza della Signoria, the center of Florentine political life since the 14th century with its prominent Palazzo Vecchio. Learn about the quality and workmanship of two of this city's historic industries at demonstrations of Florentine leathercraft and 18-carat gold. Join your fellow travelers this evening to Connect With Locals over a Be My Guest dinner set against the backdrop of Tuscan vineyards and olive groves.

    Day 9

    After a leisurely start to the day, continue north, bound for Venice, the 'Queen of the Adriatic' and our home for the next two nights.

    Day 10

    We cruise by private launch past many of the city's most prominent sights, enjoying views of the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's Square, St. Mark's Basilica and the ornate Doge's Palace. Watch how master craftsmen use the same techniques their forefathers did to shape the delicate glassworks for which Venice has become justifiably famous, perhaps choosing to buy a souvenir of your own. Inspired by the artistry you’ve just witnessed, you’ll soak up the pageantry and elegance of Venice on your own terms before enjoying a Farewell Dinner with our Travel Director and newfound friends to toast to the delicious flavors of Italy.

    Experience the Best of Scotland from Edinburgh Castle to the eclectic streets of Glasgow. Revel in the romance and history of the Scottish Highlands and contemplate the mysterious depths of Loch Ness, before toasting bonnie Scotland’s lochs, glens and legendary locals.

    Day 1 - Welcome to Edinburgh

    Get lost in the narrow lanes of Edinburgh – the Scottish capital with a mystical air that combines ancient heritage with the verve of a modern city. Spend your day at leisure delving into its rich history and embracing the warm culture of the Scots, before joining your travel companions and Travel Director for a light meal and drinks.

    Day 2 - Discover Enchanting

    Edinburgh Join your Local Specialist this morning for an intriguing sightseeing tour of the city. Ascend Castle Rock and visit Edinburgh Castle, which watches over the surrounding city from its elevated vantage point. Stroll through the Old Town along the Royal Mile and see the stunning Palace of Holyroodhouse before enjoying time at leisure to soak up the city's festive atmosphere. Tickets to see the spectacular Edinburgh Tattoo are included on departures that coincide with performance dates.

    Day 3 - Venture into the Scottish Highlands

    Tread in the footsteps of the world's golfing greats and head to St. Andrews en route to the glorious Scottish Highlands. A scenic drive takes us north and across the Firth of Tay, past the city of Dundee to Pitlochry. After lunch, enjoy some free time to explore its riverside setting or join an Optional Experience to Blair Castle, the ancestral home of the Clan Murray. Our day in beautiful surrounds comes to an end with a cosy dinner at our hotel located within the Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands.

    Day 4 - Explore Culloden, Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye

    Continue your journey to the tragic battlefield of Culloden. Pay tribute to the brave men who lost their lives in the Jacobite Uprising, then travel past Scotland's infamous Loch Ness. The solitary beauty of Eilean Donan Castle will leave you speechless before you continue to the coast and cross to the Isle of Skye. Heather-clad peaks provide a stunning backdrop for our scenic drive across the Sleat Peninsula. Indulge in some free time before boarding your ferry in Armadale and crossing to Mallaig, back on the mainland.

    Day 5 - Journey to Thriving Glasgow

    Our first stop today sees us commemorate World War II history at the Commando Memorial near Fort William, from which we admire spectacular views of Britain's highest peak – Ben Nevis. We journey through the volcanic ruins and precipitous mountains that lie just beyond Glencoe to see the 'Glen of Weeping'. Here we remember the MacDonald clansmen who were massacred in 1692. Join a wildlife cruise on Loch Lomond. Continuing towards the River Clyde, we arrive at our final stop for the day – Glasgow.

    Day 6 - Walk the Walls of Stirling Castle

    Dive Into Culture at a whisky distillery and enjoy a wee dram. Continue to Stirling, to see its hilltop fortress, which stands as a symbol of national pride. Stirling Castle was once the seat of Scottish kings and queens, including Mary, Queen of Scots. View the Wallace Monument from the castle walls, paying tribute to the Scottish hero who fought for Scotland's independence. After we join the Wood family at their 15th-century farm on the shores of Loch Ard to Connect With Locals over a home-cooked Be My Guest Farewell Dinner, amidst tales of Rob Roy and a few foot-tapping ceilidh tunes.

    Day 7 - Farewell Glasgow

    The rugged beauty and warmth of Scotland’s people forever in your memory, we enjoy one last hearty breakfast with our travel companions before wishing them and your Travel Director a fond farewell.

    Experience Vatnajokull glacier’s ever-changing angles and enjoy great photo opportunities. Indulge your inner explorer and take optional tours bringing you onto - and even inside - a glacier. Visit the Golden Circle, the Glacier Lagoon, along with the impressive volcanic and glacial natural wonders of Borgarfjörður and Snæfellsjökull National Park. Overnight in glacial locations with fabulous backdrops for northern lights.

    Day 1: REYKJAVÍK

    Once you’ve landed at Keflavík Airport, please pick up your luggage and head through customs. Collect your rental car at the airport. Take some time to explore the Reykjanes Peninsula, a UNESCO Geopark site, before you head to Reykjavík. Reykjanes is home to the renowned Blue Lagoon, and you might enjoy the chance to relax in the soothing azure waters.

    Day 2: BORGARFJORDUR – LANGJOKULL GLACIER/SNAEFELLSNES

    Today you can choose to continue to explore the marvellous Borgarfjörður region, or you can visit the scenic Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Borgarfjörður: is a hidden gem filled with enchanting volcanic scenery, glacial views, and Viking age history. Langjökull glacier offers exciting adventures such as exploring an ice cave. Other interesting sites in the area are the colourful Viðgelmir lava cave and the scenic Húsafell nature area.

    Snæfellsnes Peninsular: is known as “Iceland in a Nutshell” because it contains so many different types of Icelandic landscape in one location. We recommend a stop at the wind tangled Arnarstapi sea cliffs and the rocky beach of Djúpalónssandur. The beautiful Snæfellsjökull glacier-volcano is the crown jewel of the peninsula. Drive along the north coast through bustling fishing villages, stopping to look at Kirkjufell, the most photographed mountain in the country.

    Day 3: THINGVELLIR - GEYSIR – GULLFOSS

    This morning, head for the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, where the world's oldest parliament met for centuries on the shores of Iceland’s largest lake. This is also the meeting point of the tectonic plates that divide the North American and European continents, giving you the rare chance to take a walk between two continents. Visit the quirky geothermal fields of Geysir. Stroll along a footpath around colourful bubbling mud pools and spouting geysers. The most famous of these is Strokkur, which erupts about every ten minutes. Then visit the dramatic, two-tiered Gullfoss waterfall, a spectacular sight in winter when frozen mid-cascade. You can get great views of the waterfall from different angles on a variety of paths.

    Day 4: ICELAND’S SOUTH COAST

    Travel along the south coast, one of Iceland’s main farming areas. You’ll see many farms and shaggy haired herds of Icelandic horses as you head along the Ring Road. See the magnificent Skógafoss waterfall and then visit the nearby Skógar Folk Museum, known for its collection of mementos from this region’s past, housed in beautifully preserved old turf-roofed buildings. Make a stop in pretty Vik village. Nearby you can admire stunning views of a black sand beach and the black basalt columns of Reynisdrangar. You’ll also see glaciers from the road, including Mýrdalsjökull and Europe’s largest glacier, Vatnajokull. The road leads alongside Vatnajokull as you head to your overnight in Southeast Iceland.

    Day 5: JOKULSARLON GLACIAL LAGOON - VATNAJOKULL NATIONAL PARK

    Explore glacial wonders in Vatnajokull National Park, Western Europe's largest national park. Start with a visit to Jökulsárlón Glacial Lagoon, where blue, white, turquoise, and black-streaked icebergs shift and dance. Nearby is the Diamond Beach, an area where icebergs rest on black sand. Visit the National Park’s majestic Skaftafell area, which is located between two glaciers and offers several winter hiking possibilities. Skaftafell is an excellent place to try a guided hike on a glacier, to get up close and personal to a glacier and learn about the formation.

    Day 6: EGILSSTADIR – DETTIFOSS - HUSAVÍK

    Travel across the Möðrudalsöræfi highlands renowned for their stark and untouched beauty, towards Dettifoss, Europe's mightiest waterfall. Then travel through the otherworldly canyon landscapes of northern Vatnajokull National Park. Take some time to enjoy the walking trails and viewing points around the magnificent horseshoe-shaped canyon Ásbyrgi. Drive onwards to Tjörnes peninsula and the friendly fishing port of Húsavík, famous for its excellent whale watching. Tonight, you might enjoy the opportunity to relax in the soothing warm ocean waters of the GeoSea Geothermal Spa as you look out towards the Arctic Circle.

    Day 7: SOUTH COAST - REYKJAVÍK

    Drive along the scenic south coast back to the west. Visit Seljalandsfoss, a waterfall that you can walk behind. You’ll also be passing through landscapes impacted by Eyjafjallajökull volcano, famous for its 2010 eruption. If the skies are clear, you might even get a glimpse of the glacier-crowned volcano. The town of Hveragerði is great to take a break and enjoy the peaceful village atmosphere. Hveragerði is famous for its geothermal greenhouses where flowers and vegetables are grown year-round. The town has several charming restaurants featuring local cuisine, as well as a small geothermal park.

    Day 8: BACK TO REYKJAVÍK

    If you did not visit the Blue Lagoon earlier but have some free time today, you might want to use the opportunity en route to the airport! Do some last minute souvenir shopping, dining, and exploring before heading home ✈️
